The Ending

The Ending

I had decided that the ending will consist of the protagonist eventually being lead to suicide? Because of the depression, which the audience will witness. The audience see the character reject food, has become distanced from society as witness, his life is destroyed unable to sing. My next task is to simply figure out how to incorporate this into my final film. I have decided that the changed ending will occur after the sleepless night. The character will leave a birds eye view shot from above as he walks down the stairs and into the hall. The character seems to have more determination about him as he storms out of the house and down the street. The Girl ghost appearing as he walks, he sees her, we see him looking at her as she stands at the side of the path. Over the shoulder shots, eye line match, slow motion as he brushes past her. The idea is that he has been driven over the ending with guilt and the haunting of the girl ghost, a shot from the top- his shoulder the camera then falls down to the side of his feet as he walks down the path. When the camera gets to this point we see the cars racing past each other a sign that he isn’t stopping as he approaches. The camera then rises from the front of him as we see his face, the look of determination in his eyes, perhaps crying. Then we get a shot of the girls on the road as the quickly rush past. TOM appears from the street, we get a shot of his face he is to the right of the centre, in the background we see the girl in the background standing there. He closes his eyes. A shot of his legs as he steps out into the road. Screen goes black. We hear the crash and the sirens as th credits roll. At the end of the credits perhaps a scene of were TOM was previously sat in the dining hall, this time empty.
